Sandra Dube – Traveling Beijing Day 11

Yu Garden, Shanghai – We visited the most celebrated classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. The garden was completed during the Ming dynasty (1368AD – 1644AD), commissioned by Pan Yunduan as a gift for his father. The garden was very peaceful and beautiful – zig zag bridge to get to it, lots of windy paths, gorgeously trimmed trees, and more. They said the goal was to have a balance of four things: water, mountain (rocks), structures (buildings) and plants/green – and there certainly was.
