When I began the EvMBA program, I was not necessarily planning to make a career transition. I was fairly happy with my employer, and I thought that I had opportunities to grow within the company.
As I approach the halfway point of my time as a MEMBA student, I could not have not made it this far without the support of my boss, coworkers and organization. I am lucky enough to work for Emory, and it wasn’t long after starting my job at the university that I was bitten by the academic bug.
As I reflect on my MBA career, one of the top highlights overall was collaborating as a client/coach this semester as part of Goizueta’s IMPACT program.
Here I stand again, now fewer than two months away from graduating as a Goizueta MBA. I still clearly remember that feeling of uncertainty the day I quit my job to start the two-year MBA at Goizueta.
A consistent part of my MBA experience has been the theme of entrepreneurship.
Coming into school, I knew I wanted to pursue a finance-oriented career, so it only made sense to concentrate in finance.
